No Readable Company is a static website. The shredder runs in your browser. That is the product, so this policy is short and specific.
Files and pasted text
When you drop a file or paste text into the app, those bytes are read in this tab. SHA-256 is computed with the Web Crypto API. Images may be drawn to a canvas in this tab. The readable copy is then dropped from JavaScript memory as far as the page can do that.
Those bytes are not uploaded to a No Readable Company server. There is no account. There is no API that accepts your document. We do not log content because we never receive it.
Agent skill
The shred skill is a download of SKILL.md and a local hashing script. Installing it copies files onto your machine. It does not send documents to us. If you run the installer, your host logs will show that you fetched those files, the same as any other page request.
A certificate you download is generated in the same tab and saved to your machine. We do not keep a copy.
What this site does load
The marketing pages and the app load HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, and webfonts. Fonts currently load from Google Fonts when you open a page. That request does not include your files. If you block third-party fonts, the layout still works with system typefaces.
Your host (the web server that serves this site) will see normal web logs for page requests: IP address, URL, user agent, time. Those logs are about visiting the site, not about the contents of a shred.
Disk and other copies
The app cannot delete a file from your disk, your backups, or anyone else's computer. After a shred, removing the original is your step.
